DOH helps clear the way for Alpha DaRT trials in our state A new cancer treatment shows an outstanding ability to shrink or eliminate tumors. In fact, the treatment shows such promise that the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is granting it "breakthrough device status." This means that clinical trials — scientific studies with patients on safety and effectiveness — can move forward quickly.
