prostate frequent urination at night :: Article Creator Why Men Have To Get Up In The Middle Of The Night To Urinate Frequent nighttime urination, medically known as nocturia, affects many men as they age. While occasional nighttime bathroom visits are normal, frequent interruptions to sleep can signal underlying health conditions that deserve attention. Understanding nocturia Nocturia involves more complexity than simply drinking too much fluid before bedtime. The condition often reflects natural aging processes or specific health conditions affecting the urinary system. While waking once during the night might be normal, multiple interruptions warrant investigation. The bladder typically holds about 2 cups of urine comfortably, but this capacity can decrease with age or certain conditions. Understanding your body's patterns helps distinguish between normal variation and potential health concerns. Primary causes in men Prostate enlarg...

vitamin c and chemotherapy :: Article Creator Pancreatic Cancer Patient Survival Doubled With High Dose Of Common Vitamin, Study Finds High doses of vitamin C could be a new breakthrough in treating cancer. The University of Iowa Health Care Carver College of Medicine has shared results from a randomized, phase 2 trial testing the impact of adding high-dose vitamin C to intravenous chemotherapy treatments for pancreatic cancer patients. The researchers found that administering 75 grams of vitamin C three times a week doubled overall survival rates of patients with late-stage metastatic pancreatic cancer from eight months to 16 months. WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT ACTOR DAVE COULIER'S BLOOD CANCER: 'VERY AGGRESSIVE' The study, published in the journal Redox Biology, also found that progression-free survival was extended from four to six months. The researchers found that vitamin C in high doses generates hydrogen peroxide,...

latest prostate cancer treatments :: Article Creator Why We Urgently Need To Start Screening For Prostate Cancer Pressure is building on health service decision-makers to take action on prostate cancer screening. Prostate Cancer Research has launched a landmark report making a strong economic case for wide-scale testing. The leading UK's charity for prostate cancer presented their findings at a celebrity-packed event at the House of Commons last month. Wes Streeting, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, shared a platform with Conservative MP James Cleverly and Oscar-winning director Sir Steve McQueen and all three spoke passionately about their determination to improve early cancer detection. Talking to an audience that included Gary Lineker, James Corden and Claudia Winkleman, Sir Steve told how he lost his father to the illness. leukemia fever :: Article Creator What Is Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia? Chronic lymphocytic leukemia-- or CLL-- is a type of cancer that happens in your blood and bone marrow, the spongy tissue inside your bones. While the exact cause isn't known, doctors do know that something happens to change the genetic code inside your cells that make white blood cells. Normally, these cells help your body fight infection, but because of the change-- called a mutation-- faulty white blood cells that don't work like they should are made instead. These damaged blood cells build up in your bone marrow, crowding out healthy cells, and keeping new blood cells from being made. As they continue to grow, they can spread to your blood and build up in your organs. CLL gets worse slowly, and many people don't have symptoms at first. Over time, you could have swollen lymph nodes, a fever, a tired feeling, belly pain, night sweats, weight loss, or more freque...

prostate cancer identification :: Article Creator Study Finds New Blood Test Predicts Prognosis For Advanced Prostate Cancer Patients Published in Nature Communications, a new study led by the University of Minnesota Medical School and Duke University found that a DNA sequencing test for advanced prostate cancer patients can distinguish between patients with poor and favorable prognoses. The new blood-based test -- called AR-ctDETECT -- is designed to detect and analyze small fragments of tumor-derived DNA in the blood of certain patients with advanced, metastatic prostate cancer. In this new study, the AR-ctDETECT test was used to analyze DNA from more than 770 blood samples from a phase 3 clinical trial of advanced prostate cancer patients. The test identified circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in 59% of patients with metastatic prostate cancer. Patients with detectable circulating tumor DNA had significantly worse overall survival compared to those ...
