MBPD Wears Mustaches To Support Prostate Cancer Awareness

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – During the month of November, some members of Manhattan Beach Police Department will be growing and showing mustaches and mustache pins to show their support for prostate cancer awareness as part of the Movember campaign.

The annual event involves growing moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of prostate cancer. The goal of Movember is to "change the face of men's health," MBPD said.

"Movember aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnosis and effective treatments, and ultimately reduce the number of preventable deaths," police said. "Men are encouraged to be aware of any family history of cancer and to adopt a healthy lifestyle."

The Manhattan Beach Police Department is proud to be part of this movement to generate awareness for those whose lives have been affected by prostate cancer, according to MBPD. For more information visit their website.
