The Tiger King star, 61, is currently serving a 21-year prison sentence after he was convicted in a murder-for-hire plot of Carole Baskin twice, known for being his rival zookeeper.

In the new exclusive interview with RadarOnline.Com, Joe opened up about life in prison and admitted he's "trying to stay alive, but it's hard".

After being diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2021, Joe revealed he was informed it was "in remission," but then received tragic news about a possible lung cancer diagnosis.

He explained that after receiving chest ex-rays, CT scans, and a PET scan over the last year, spots showed up in his left lung in the results.

Joe was diagnosed with scabies along with 140 other inmates.

As Joe awaits his biopsy, he claimed the cancer diagnosis has been "advanced" due to "stress" from being in solitary confinement, as well as "the mold and everything else you're living in".

In a press release from October 10, the Fort Worth Federal Medical Center prison announced that Joe was diagnosed with scabies, as well as 140 other inmates.

It also stated 300 inmates are being quarantined and there isn't enough medication for treatment.

The Netflix star slammed the system for making him wait 7 months to receive a biopsy to confirm the latest cancer diagnosis.

Joe stated in the interview: "If this is how I have to live for the next 11 years if I don't win my appeal, I pray to God I hope I go home in a body bag soon."

After being asked if he feels as if "he's dying", Joe said: "You wouldn't believe how many people die in here before they get care."

If the biopsy confirms he has cancer, Joe stated that he will be "declining" treatment.

The star said he's "ashamed" of the Federal Government adding: "Everybody lies. President Biden and Vice President Harris stood on that stage during Covid at that drive-in when they were campaigning, promised prison justice reforms and they have done nothing. Except let more people die.

"From the lack of proper food, the lack of medical care. They have done nothing. And I am ashamed to even say I am an American."

Aga Khan University Hospital Conducts First Prostate PET-CT Scan

The latest and most advanced scan for evaluation of patients with prostate cancer is now available at the Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi.

The Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA) PET CT scan has been available for only a few years and in the most advanced medical centres in the world.

In a statement, the hospital said the scan allows for better treatment options of the disease while still in an early stage.

In view of its higher sensitivity, this scan can identify sites of early prostate cancer spread before they are picked up by conventional imaging modalities.

"This is bound to have a major impact on the successful outcomes of the treatment for those with prostate cancer," a statement from the hospital read in part.

Prostate Cancer PET-CT scan can detect the location and extent of cancer that has recurred after initial treatment and spread to other parts of the body. Prostate PET-CT scans can also detect cancer earlier than either CT scans alone or MRI scans.

"Following advancement in our PET CT scan technology and growth in the expertise of our radiology and laboratory departments, AKUH, N is now able to produce the radioactive substance required for this scan as well as conduct the test," the statement further stated.

Prostate cancer causes at least 1,663 deaths every year out of 2,864 cases recorded.

According to a report tabled in Parliament by National Cancer Institute of Kenya (NCI-K), Globocan 2018 estimates show that there are 47,887 new cases of cancer daily and 32,987 deaths annually.

Compared to the presently established methods of imaging prostate cancer such as MRI and bone scan, PSMA PET CT scan has a higher sensitivity for identification of sites of prostate cancer spread, be it in the bones or in any other organs such as lymph nodes, liver and lungs.

"It can be used for this purpose at the initial diagnosis of the disease, during follow-up and when disease recurrence is suspected," the hospital said.

It added: "The capacity to conduct this test adds to the expertise of our PET CT Scan and Cyclotron, a technology we acquired in 2018 at a cost of Sh600 million."

After the initial diagnosis of prostate cancer, patients undergo treatment such as surgery, cryotherapy or radiation. In some cases, cancer may recur. Following treatment, patients are monitored with periodic PSA blood tests.

The study seeks to determine if Copper Cu 64 PSMA I&T Injection can safely and effectively be used to accurately stage prostate cancer by taking precise pictures of tumors in the body. Accurate staging is critical in guiding treatment decisions and improving patient outcomes. The safety and effectiveness of copper Cu 64 PSMA I&T have not been established by the United States Food and Drug Administration.

Participants in the study will undergo a series of evaluations. The process includes a screening visit to review medical history and obtain consent, followed by an imaging day where the injection will be administered, and PET/CT scans will be conducted to capture detailed images of the prostate cancer tumors. Participants will also receive follow-up care to monitor for any side effects and ensure their well-being. If surgery is part of their medical care, information from the procedure may be used in the research study.

"In terms of cancer specific survival, the higher the risk of prostate cancer at the time of diagnosis, the greater the benefit to have a robotic prostatectomy with an extended pelvic lymph node dissection as the first treatment for prostate cancer," said Robert I. Inclusion Criteria:

  • Male patients aged 18 or older, with histologically confirmed prostate adenocarcinoma.
  • Scheduled for prostatectomy with pelvic lymph node dissection.
  • Classified as having unfavorable intermediate-risk, high-risk, or very high-risk prostate cancer according to the NCCN Guidelines Version 1.2023 or earlier.
  • Able to understand and sign a written informed consent form.
  • Exclusion Criteria:

  • Patients who have received androgen deprivation therapy, neoadjuvant chemotherapy, radiation therapy, local ablation, or any investigational treatment for prostate cancer before the prostatectomy.
  • Participation in another interventional clinical trial within the last 30 days or receipt of an investigational product within five biological half-lives before study administration.
  • Any medical condition or situation that, in the investigator's opinion, could compromise study data or interfere with study requirements, including inability to undergo a PET scan.
  • Planned administration of x-ray contrast within 24 hours, or another PET radiotracer within 10 half-lives, before the PET scan. If barium contrast is used, it must be cleared before the PET scan.
  • Administration of high-energy (greater than 300 KeV) gamma-emitting radioisotopes within five half-lives before Copper Cu 64 PSMA I&T administration.
  • Known hypersensitivity to the active substance or any excipient of the investigational product.
  • Patients who have had a PSMA PET scan as part of standard care within 90 days before enrollment.
