Explaining why, he said: "The unique thing about pancreatic cancer is that a lot of times you don't have any symptoms until it's very far into its progression. This is why they call it the silent killer, because by the time you know you have it, a lot of times it's too late. The more you can identify these early triggers, the greater the prognosis is going to be."
Dr Berg is a chiropractor who specialises in ketosis and intermittent fasting. He is the author of the best-selling book 'The Healthy Keto Plan', and is the Director of Dr Berg Nutritionals. He no longer practices but focuses on health education through social media.

"You're not trying to lose weight, but all of a sudden, you're losing weight because pancreatic cancer starts in the pancreas, which is involved in digestion and blood sugars. If there's a problem with that gland, it's going to affect your digestion, your appetite, and you could lose a lot of weight," he told viewers.
2. Abdominal pain. This is typically dull, persistent pain that can radiate to the left shoulder. Sometimes, it shows up as radiating pain in the belly button that extends into the spine and often feels worse after eating.
3. Jaundice. This is characterised by the yellowing of the whites of the eyes and rust-coloured urine caused by bile backing up into the blood. Dr Berg says: "Tauroursodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA) can be a good remedy for this. Take two on an empty stomach twice a day to open the bile ducts". Always speak to your doctor first, however.
4. Chronic diarrhoea. Most pancreatic cancer affects the part of the pancreas that is responsible for digestive enzymes, which can often lead to chronic diarrhoea.

Dr Berg said: "What potentially could happen is that a tumour in the pancreas could be disrupting the cells that produce insulin.

It does that for many years until the point where your pancreas is just kind of just too tired, and it stops producing insulin now you can't regulate the sugar you can't suppress the blood sugar, so your blood glucose goes higher and that's diabetes."
6. Feeling full quickly. Pancreatic cancer can cause you to feel full and bloated even If you've hardly had anything to eat. Dr Berg explained: "When you eat just a little bit of food, this symptom can definitely come because you're obviously eating the wrong food, and you're getting bloating really quick. If you have pancreatic cancer, that could be one of them as well."
7. Persistent fatigue. This can be described as overwhelming, chronic fatigue that doesn't improve with more sleep. Don't consume sugar if you have pancreatic cancer.
The NHS says: "Some of these symptoms are very common and can be caused by other conditions. Having the symptoms does not definitely mean you have pancreatic cancer, but it's important to get checked by a GP. If your symptoms are caused by cancer, finding it early may mean it's easier to treat."

Certain research indicates a connection between low vitamin D levels and heightened inflammatory markers, as well as reduced survival rates in the early stages of pancreatic cancer. However, other studies have not established a significant relationship between vitamin D deficiency and survival rates in more advanced stages of the disease.
